Genocide in the 21st Century: The Rohingya Crisis in Burma

Over 800,000 prosecuted Rohingya people from Burma have taken refuge in overflowing and ill-equipped refugee camps in the neighboring country of Bangladesh since August 25, 2017. Documented through satellite evidence, 214, half the total number of Rohingya villages, have been burned to ashes. The UN has acknowledged this crisis not only a genocide but the worst human rights violation of our time. The presentation will explore how this catastrophe has come to be, what is being done about it, and most importantly, how YOU as a resident of the USA can help.
