Celeste is the Program Assistant for the Asian American Mentor Program (AAMP). Recently graduated with a masters in Social Work and Public Health, she has been involved with AAMP since attending UIC for her undergraduate studies. Throughout that time, they worked in student success programs, campus offices for diversity and inclusion, and nearby hospitals helping patients navigate the healthcare system. Celeste serves as instructor for GLAS 105: Asian American Identities, Cultures and Communities for Fall 2022 alongside the AAMP Graduate Assistant.
Born and raised in Chicago, Celeste is mixed race Filipino and Guatemalan, and uses she/they pronouns.
